Combat Knee Pain with Tibialis Raises: A Personal Journey from Weak Tibialis to Improved Mobility

I Twisted My Leg Past My Hip in High School from "Play Wrestling"

When I was in high school, I was an average kid, who loved to goof around with my friends. One such "play wrestling" incident led me to twist my leg past my hip. With zero physical conditioning or mobility, my leg was a mess. I was no athlete, never worked out, and the result? A sprained ankle and several months of limping.

15 Years Later, a Solution Emerges

Fast forward to 15 years later. I was tired of enduring the nagging pain in my right knee. It was during one of my internet deep dives, that I discovered my right ankle had considerably less mobility and dorsiflexion compared to my left ... and this was caused by a shortened, weak Tibialis Anterior on my right side. This was an eye-opening realization!

Upon further research, I stumbled upon Tibialis raises - a simple yet powerful exercise that promised improved ankle mobility. Without wasting any time, I incorporated them into my routine. And boy, what a difference they made! My ankle had a wider range of motion, and my walks became less of a limp.

The Benefits of Tibialis Raises

The benefits of Tibialis raises were beyond just improved ankle mobility. My knee pain was gradually reducing. I started hitting squats and runs with significantly less pain, and there were days when I felt none at all. A significant upgrade from my limping days, wouldn't you agree?

So, if you're like me, dealing with annoying knee pain and limited mobility, consider adding Tibialis raises to your warm-up routine. The difference it can make is truly transformative!
